Atlantic Conference on Learning Disabilities

Miller Lake Learning Center will be attending the Atlantic Conference on Learning Disabilities will be held May 12-13, 2011 at Mount Saint Vincent University.
Organized by Bridgeway Academy this new conference focuses on supporting the needs of youth living with learning disabilities.
Keynote speakers include Actor and Leading Social Activist Danny Glover in conversation with fellow actor Felix Justice, and author Sheree Fitch.
This event will be focusing on three key areas - education, mental health and the impact learning disabilities have in our community. They will be offering delegates a wide variety of information, as well as practical tools they can use to support those living with learning disabilities and ADHD.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for educators, parents, social workers, child care providers, or anyone who supports individuals with learning disabilities to learn, explore and connect with others from the Atlantic region.
